"Overall 3.5 Lovely spot with good ambience and great staff. We came for brunch on a Saturday and were able to get a seat easily. Unfortunately the products were pretty average. Coffees use industry beans for their milk beverages. The coffee seemed well made but the result was super milky/weak. The smoothie was nice but also for 9 bucks you'd hope so. The food was on the plus side pretty well sized and not crazy priced. Everything was roughly 20 or less which is low for the area. That being said it was pretty bland."
"We had a wonderful lunch here on a Friday. The food was excellent and the coffee really good too. They have a really nice kids menu which is always appreciated. We did feel slightly rushed to order food after ordering coffee but I imagine this place is quite busy at times and hence the pace. Perfect location to take the kids to the playground afterwards."
"Great experience at Adeney! The atmosphere is really welcoming and the service was quick and friendly. I ordered the [insert dish/coffee] and it was delicious. Definitely a go-to spot in Kew for a relaxed brunch. Highly recommend!"
"The food was good, service was okay. Cute cafe, cosy vibes!"
"What can I say.... one of the best morning coffee and breakfast spots in Melbourne suburbs. The food is to die for. Unbelievable quality and presentation. The world's best smoothies by far, and lovely atmosphere. The staff are all young good looking, fashion trend setters, and they love their work, you can see it in their smiles with customers and each other. Eat inside or outside and it'll be an hour of your day that is worth remembering. Customers are mostly local couples and friends. We did see one family with 2 children who were well behaved. I'm sorry, but children and restaurants do not go together. Who in their sanity would bring noisy, messy, little chatterboxes to a morning breakfast experience. Definately a place for couples or best friends. I was glad to see people with their dogs wait outside for their coffee. A big hats off to the staff - you are all amazing and you work together so well. Not a lazy work-avoiding one amongst you, well done. Loved the music too. As a government manager who also DJ's on the side (out of love), I appreciate the song choices. It's the only place I've ever heard the song 'Goodbye Horses' by Lazarus, and the super 67 guy making coffee knew the story of the music, I was blown away. To the owners, dont change a thing. Ive seen too many places make 'improvements', or save a dollar here or there, lose half their customers overnight. Adeney Cafe is now on our 'definite' places to have breakfast, when we visit Melbourne 8 or 10 times a year."
"Been going here occasionally for years and have never been disappointed. If it just for coffee or breakfast or brunch, the food, coffee, and service has been top notch. Today it was a generous Reuben and a flat white--both were great. Always a nice, chatty atmosphere with lots of people coming by with their dogs."
"Had brunch yesterday with two girlfriends and it was a fabulous few hours. Service from Honor was first class and all the food and drinks were delicious - great coffee. A lovely spot to catch up and local. Cheers"
